First details on the “Secret Appendix” of the UFO Report of the US Secret Services

Washington (USA) – On June 26, 2021, the Pentagon and the US intelligence services delivered exactly what was previously announced: a public version of their official report on the status of the UFO investigations and their preliminary conclusions. The much more extensive – and probably more interesting – part consists of a further classified (i.e. still secret) appendix, in which methods and results are explained in detail. While there is much speculation about its content, the freedom of information activist John Greenewald Jr. asked the editor of the UFO report, the office of the US intelligence director, directly.
As Greenewald reports on his website “TheBlackVault.com”, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) confirmed on June 27 that the classified part of the report was also transferred when the public part of the report was published.
“The classified part of the report contains some additional information that could not be classified (i.e. released) due to the protection of the sources and methods,” an ODNI spokesman told Greenewald in an email. When asked for further details, such as the scope of the classified part or the question of whether it also contained photos or details on special cases, the spokesman also stated that he would not comment on it.
“However, the ODNI stated that the basic statements and conclusions of the two parts (public and secret part) are essentially in line with one another,” said Greenewald. “In other words: The ODNI has not transferred a section of the public whose statements contradict those of the secret attachment.”
Grenewald further explains that immediately after the publication of the public report, he himself made requests, citing the US freedom of information laws, for the release of the classified part (or parts of it) as well. At the same time, however, he also emphasizes that there is currently “no evidence that such a process will currently have any prospect of success”.
